out in the school yard, fall 3005

Laurel Grove Primary School: Fall 3005 Semester
last update/next update

Principal/Superintendent: Illiana Greer. Teachers: Quinn Faulkner, Devon Summerfield
Students: Adriana Tracy, Lauren Faithbucks, Sabrina Juarez, Kara Leane (all 6); Giovanni Juarez, Nate Fontaine, Becca Carr, Alicia Faithbucks (all 8); Nichole Faithbucks, Santiago Juarez, Chaz Weber (all 10)

This year marks the first year that Mrs. Faulkner is not teaching kindergarten, as the classes are now split into lower and upper grades.

It turned out that her former kindergarten class made up the lower grade class anyway. The girls were excited about that turn of events, until they realized how much hard work first grade was.

The only one without any troubles was Kara, who happily completed her workbook.

Meanwhile in the upper class, Mr. Summerfield welcomed his former students will open arms… and new workbooks.

Alicia found third grade not too hard, as long as she had music class to look forward to.

Although Nichole was looking forward to graduating primary school, she didn’t necessarily look forward to all the new work that went along with it. At least there was recess to look forward to.

But the rainy weather dashed the hopes from the class.

Since it was raining, recess was spent in the library, which was spent socializing by Kara and Lauren.

They mainly talked about all the new things there were learning so far this year.

Lauren soon turned the topic to after school, where she invited Kara over her house to play. But before Kara could answer, they were caught by Mr. Summerfield and directed to read.

Soon the upper grades joined them in the library. Even though they missed out on recess, the free reading period was welcomed in lieu of all the harder work that waited for them back in the classroom.

Principal Greer approached Mrs. Faulkner with the idea of creating a computer lab in the school.

Mrs. Faulkner thought it was a spectacular idea, as it would innovate the current curriculum.

Soon, but not soon enough for the students, the dismissal bell rang, signalling the end of the school day.

And to their embitterment, the sun finally makes an appearance a little too late.

  • The school day went off without a hitch. Except for no chef in the kitchen, of course. SMH.
  • There are a total of five classrooms in the building. I have no idea what I was thinking when I was building this school, as I doubt I will have enough students to warrant five classrooms and teachers. So I’ve decided to turn one of the unused rooms into a computer lab. The computers will house Monique’s computers, so that the kids can learn their skills on them.
  • Thanks for reading!

  1. Cute school! Also, it amuses me that the kids are all the same ages. Your sims must coordinate their reproduction, haha!

  2. Adore your school, especially the library, the wallpaper is really a perfect touch too. Bummer on the rainy day, those were generally the worst! Can’t go out in rain, but we were out there when it was freezing cold. 😉 The kids were adorable getting their schoolwork done, and their little expressions.
